Weary Walk
Finding Spring in this particular world
This morning, the Celtic book of days reminds me that this is a time of increase. Increase of flora and fauna as the earth in the Northern hemisphere starts to thaw. Increase of light to support all the newly emerging life. I find this easy to forget some days, and that has led me to today’s draft.
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedWeary stomps through my days on heavy feet, leaves behindfootprints in the new grassbroken stalks of daffodilsdivots where the rain water gathers. The cold Kentucky clay soil grows heavy and stubborn with it. Weary, you could almost believe, will hold back Spring with its big ham-hands.
