Vows

Promises. Real ones.

Today’s draft was inspired by meditating on the awareness that this present moment is all there is. And by promises.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedI commit to you this moment.(It is all we have.)We hold each other nowand now and again nowdeep in the illusion of time as a thing we can craft with our words,a scene we construct with the force of our bodies. In the warmth of my head on your shoulderthe sound of your heartbeat in my earit feels like there could be -- something --not-now yet solid --to land on. Beloved, I give you now.I give you every now to come until the end of nowsuntil we slip beyond timeinto present eternity.

Dancing with Emily

Most of the people who know me know I have a thing about Emily Dickinson. Last year, I read through all of her poems, just on a hunch that I might want to use them in service of some kind of - retreat? sadhana? workshop?

Dear Ones, it is all coming together with the DANCEMandala training. I find I am using one of her poems to create each playlist and inform the way I set up the whole movement meditation experience. I’m excited to continue to share this offering with you.

The next DANCEMandala is inspired by “Much Madness is divinest Sense” and will be Tuesday, October 18 at 12:30pm EST. I hope to see you there. (Register at the link on the date.)
