Today’s draft is inspired by random thoughts I had while taking myself through a DANCEmandala practice.*

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedIf the neck of my shirt falls openwhen I am in a forward fold,if I tilt my neck and catch a glimpseof my aging body compressed -- I must admit --I am much more Venus of Willendorfthan Venus de Milo. Then I gently unfold my spinerest bone on bone on boneinto my full upright humanity, smile at my silliness -- to think I could be captured as rock or stone.

*—If you choose to upgrade to a paid subscription, along with supporting my work, you will have access to two DANCEmandala sessions per month, facilitated online via Zoom. I find this practice essential to connecting more deeply with my creativity, and with my humanity. I hope to see you there.
