The Open Tabs on my Browser
The things I need at my fingertips
I have a long-standing habit of keep browser tabs open for — ever, really. If I come across something that sparks for me, I leave the window open. I suppose in some sense I feel like I really will lose it forever if I close the browser tab. This draft is just a little survey of what’s open right now. (21 tabs at the moment)
This draft is also an experiment in location — instead of writing it in my journal then copying it here, I am typing it directly into the newsletter editor to get a feel of writing inside a different kind of space.
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedLeft to right -- direction of the head -- spreadsheets and email and the one page waiting for the upload to complete. In the space of that waiting, leap over the dance class schedule (have I registered yet?)the article about end-stage celebrity disease (linger a while there)open journal pages and the beckoning rabbit holesof the poetry archives.Better to start at the other endleave my brain behind to calculate directionwhile I dive head first into this movement meditation, full screen, believing for a moment that presence is a thing I can do on demand.
