Y’all. I am thickly bound with grief for the violent, gun-driven hamster wheel of destruction in this country. And today’s draft comes from that place. I will get back to a place of loving anyway, and trying to help anyway, but today I just need to feel it and write about it.

When you cut your foot on edges you don't see, the answer is to blindfold yourself and walk onignoring the blood trailing after you(evidence of your soft humanness.) The answer is to lean further into that which harms youembrace it, even, like the body of a fevered child, let it infect you. you will attend to your own illness with your own soiled hands,and in so doing, live another day two steps ahead of crashing tidal waves of angry grief.
