The wonders of groceries
Happy New Year to all who celebrate! Farmers and people who live in nature know that time is more of a wheel than a line, and we are at that well-worn notch in the wheel that we have somewhat randomly decided is the start. This year, I am looking forward to The Stafford Challenge, more DANCEmandala, and hopefully crossing the 500 mark with this newsletter. I am delighted to share this journey with you.
Today’s draft is inspired by a trip to a Japanese grocery store on a dreary December day.
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedI wonder, as I ponder one of the more colorful Manga, if a Japanese grocery store in Japan (which I guess is just "a grocery store")would set aside a bookstore cornerso that once a person's bag or cart or box is full, they can pause from the thoughts of the meal-to-be,wander into a corner with some book or otherand read until the evening light pulls the shadows out in soft gray blankets
