Miracles of the Day
Grown from sound
Hello Dear Ones! Have you ever heard the voice of someone you love from down the hall or behind a closed door and just felt a rush of warmth and good-to-be-aliveness? That feeling is the inspiration for today’s draft.
I feel like this is two different poems trying to be born at once. What do you think?
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedYour voice from behind the door speaks a new person into being. Your voice so deeply a part of my life that to think of life without it is to contemplate silence. Deep rushing silence of the vacuum void.Silence that pulls at the bottom of your ear wells turns you inside out with the force of its nothingness. Your air is my air your heart is my heart and yet -- we grow separate, whole, entire. This is the miracles of infinite renewal --cells that know who and what they are migrate to just the right place, do their job and leave. The miracle of a mind that knows it is a mind reflecting on its own creation.
