What comes after the end

I have spent the past two days in a workshop with Mirabai Starr, producing some of the deepest writing I’ve ever done. There’s so much to explore and polish and send out to various parts of my world. Some of it I will share here, like today’s breath.
And so, with my body absorbed back into the soil, air, and water
you continue your walk in the park,
and when you see a deer standing in the middle of the road
full-chested and alive with yearling confidence,
instead of saying “Deer!” like the city dwellers do,
you could say my name
or your name
or the name of the girl you loved when you were young and open-hearted.
Any name you say with wonder on your tongue will do.
We are all here in the spaces between the air and sky.
