Glitter Mama
I found the sparkle lotion at my mom's house

I am a massage therapist by trade, and sometimes when I go to visit my mother, I give her a massage. And sometimes there is a little bit of ordinary magic about.
My hands are sparkling.
It is the lotion from my mother's downstairs bathroom,
lotion that has been there I don't know how long.
I used it after I gave her a massage,
while she lay wrapped in a body of no pain
for a moment.
It's a good thing I remembered my massage lotion.
Otherwise I would have used the glitter lotion and after her massage,
she would have been glittering all over her body.
Glitter on her back and legs and even in between her toes.
Glitter on the palms of her hands.
Glitter on that soft-skinned place behind the collarbone.
Glitter on the edges of her jaw muscles where they hook into her cheekbone,
where I rested my hands for a while, waiting for the tension to ease,
just a little.
