I'm not sure where this fits

As the days get darker and colder, it gets harder and harder for me to tap into the delight that is the root of all creativity in my life. Sometimes all I have are fragments, like this one.
You can’t just do that, she said.
You can’t just tell god you want to be seduced and expect god to oblige.

Look at the way the leaves are turning red, from the top down, from the outside in —
just like fire burns wood.
