Dream Interpretation

Hello Dear Ones!

I’m back on my poetry stuff again today. I’d still love you to go check out 500Words. There will be a new story start up there by the time you receive this.

Today’s draft is inspired by the weirdness of dreams.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedIt's not so unusual to have a dream of dying --but to have a dream of poisoning yourselfknowingly, deliberately, daily sliding closer to the end of your existence. I take this to my therapist and ask her what it means. Together, we examine it,spread out, as it is, with its jagged-edged dream logicpieces that don't quite fit together(like the continents of earthtrying to become Pangea again.) We stand, identical, one hand on the table, on on our chins(the thoughtful pose.) "Maybe," she says, "this is a rebirthing dream.You're killing yourself to live again." We look into each other's eyes --her eyes mine and mine hers -- laugh until our stomachs hurtat the overused tropes of my unconscious,at the clumsy, lumbering hands of truth.
