Divination
The search for answers

This morning I noticed how the pollen falls and collects in the giant petals of the lilies on my counter, and that made me think of reading tea leaves, which made me think of today’s breath. So many of my ideas come from going about my day, just noticing things and letting my mind wander. I am curious — where do you find inspiration?
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedI will read you the patterns in the pollen that falls on the white petals of your hothouse lilies.I will tell your future by the way your shoelaces lie.I will read your past lives in the arrangement of your sock drawer when all the laundry is clean.I will teach you to interpret the languages ofthe way the plaster cracks after heavy rain.Make of this whole house a divination, everything speaking the language of what is to be what should be done.I will shut you inside with your whisperings and weep for you as I go touch the world, all unknowing.
