Color Wars
Not the camp kind

Today’s draft is inspired by the slow browning of the leaves and grasses.
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedDo colors have wars with each other? Not the screaming loud summer camp way --I think of the late summer green on this maple tree, how early autumn red creeps over it, starting at that one round cluster, then heavy yellow moves over red the red leaves leap away -- or try to -- chased through the air by the yellow ones, scattered into dustlike the ends of all warswhile green laughs deep in the bottom of the earthas she settles in, sleeping through to summer truce.
Play Into Being

I wrote these words — “play into being” — during a meditation retreat a few years ago. That scrap of paper has lived on my altar space ever since.
This is yet another reason why I love DANCEMandala. It is playtime, gently guiding you deeper into your authentic self. I’ll be offering regular sessions to support the writers of NaNo WriMo in November. I will also be offering regular sessions (at least twice a month) to all paid subscribers of this newsletter. I’ll be sending out November dates this week. Your support makes this all possible.
