Cellular Turnover
It's the life cycle
Today’s draft comes from my morning pages. Sometimes I just get on a riff about something, and this morning it was cellular biology for some reason. (My limited knowledge of it, anyway.) This is sort of a continuation of the thoughts from yesterday’s draft, and, like yesterday’s, it feels a bit like a collection of ideas that will eventually be broken apart and reassigned to other bits of writing.
I’m also aware that a lot of fire and heat images are coming out in my writing. It’s autumn in the upper Midwest, and I think the chill is influencing my imagination.
Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedIt's not the same you.Call it mitosis, call it apoptosis, division and death on a well-understood cycle. Or if you're feeling otherwise -- Call it your spirit turning on a new heat source, burning it all to the ground like an autumn prairie firepreparing the ground for next year's blooms.
