A pause

brown wooden blocks on white surface

Dear Ones. This is my 300th post in Our Daily Breath. Something about the roundness of the numbers invites reflection, doesn’t it? I am sitting on my back porch writing this, with the air finally clear of smoke and rain, a lovely sunbeam warming my bare feet, and just enough battery left to make this post. I have no deep thoughts to share, just an invitation to pause, and some images that made me smile.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedI will pause to pay homage to the shortness of my attention span, to honor the distractions. I will pause to watch the leaves surf on the wind,to thank my high school typing labthat made it possible for me to keep writingas I watch the lightshadow shift on the wall.I will pause to take a breath, to give a breath,to answer the text that just came through.I will pause to consider my reflection in the back door glass.I will pause.
